other/the other/others/another的基本用法
other的基本用法pron. 另外一个；adj. 其他的，另外的。作形容词时，若是后跟复数名词，other+复数名词=others；other又可接不可数名词。例如：other people=others，other information 别的/其它新闻。
the other的基本用法
( 1 ) .若other为代词，the other指两者中的另一个，常和one呼应着用。即常用结构：one……the other（一个……另一个……）
（2）.若other为形容词。the other 指其它的……,其后可接可数名词和单数。
the other+复数名词=the others,指一个范围中余下的全部。例如：the other people=the others
the other+不可数名词，“其余的……”。例如：如：the other money 剩下的钱
another的基本用法（1）. another=an +other,既可以作代词，也可以作形容词。
（2）.another作代词时，指三者以上中的另一个。
（3）.another作形容词时，是指在原有的(三个或三个以上）中的“一个”或“另外一个）”。another 名词实际意义为：an other+名词。
（4）. another+数词表示 "又，再"。如：another two apples（=two more apples）.
others的基本用法others中有两个作用：复数和名词。所以others=other+ 可数名词复数，others不能用作定语。其含义为：表示别的，其余某些东西或人们”，但没有明确的范围。
the others的基本用法the others中the表特指，others相当于复数名词，因此the others只能作代词，则表示具体范围中的别的，其余某些东西或人们。
例如：There are forty students in the class ， Fifteen are girls,the others are boys.( the others = the other students）

区分another，other与else.简单来说，other可作形容词或代词，做形容词时，意思是“别的，其他”，泛指“其他的（人或物）”；another=an other，既可作形容词，也可作代词，只能用于三个或更多的人或物，泛指同类事物中的三者或三者以上的“另一个”，只能代替或修饰单数可数名词；else 一般修饰疑问词和不定代词，而且必须后置。
两个“互相”：one another表示三者或以上中的互相，each other两者之间的互相，但在现代英语中已通用。
一个……另一个的表达：在两者中，用one……the other结构；在三者或三者以上中，用one……another结构。
一些……,另一些的表达：some... others结构中，others指（没有明确范围）；some ... others结构中，the others指（有明确范围，指具体范围中的别的，其余某些东西或人们。）0daybank
