Apple Xcode is a development application for Macintosh OS X.
A vulnerable version of Xcode was found on the target host.
The update resolves the following security issues: - Multiple vulnerabilities existed in Git versions prior to 2.5.4.
- Xcode did not honor the .gitignore directive.
- Multiple memory corruption issues existed in the processing of mach-o files.

Successfully exploiting these vulnerabilities might allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code.

Apple Xcode v7.2 has been released to address these issues. The update can be downloaded and installed via Apple Developer.
