Alt-N's WorldClient, which listens on port 2000, is an e-mail Web server included in the MDeamon Version 2.8.5.0 package. It allows users to retrieve e-mail via HTTP.
Alt-N's WorldClient is susceptible to denial of service attacks due to an unchecked buffer in the request handler.
A second vulnerability is present in that version of MDaemon. The small Web server for Web-based remote administration is vulnerable to denial of service attacks due to an unchecked buffer that handles incoming GET requests.
漏洞危害
As a result of the exploitation of either vulnerability, the Web server will crash.
解决方案
Alt-N has released a patch for both Pro and Standard versions of WorldClient.
