PeleSoft NetSnap Buffer Overflow Vulnerability

NetSnap is a Web cam application that transmits images, enabling the user to directly publish footage from the camera to the Web. NetSnap is shipped with an HTTP server.

NetSnap is subject to a buffer overflow attack because of it's handling of GET requests. Issuing a GET command comprised of 342 bytes will cause a buffer overflow and allow unauthorized users to execute arbitrary code.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability could lead to a complete compromise of the host.
