Savant Web Server Buffer Overflow Vulnerability

Savant is a freeware, open-source, Web server that runs on Windows 95, 98, ME, NT, and 2000. Savant Web Server Version 2.0 is vulnerable to a buffer overflow.

If successfully exploited, unauthorized remote users can shut down the Web server. The buffer overflow can only be used to implement a Denial of Service attack. Commands cannot be executed.

Upgrade to Savant Web Server Version 3.0 (or later), which is available for download from Savant Web Server's Web site.
